The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has hired a new communications director, who is set to join in February 2026.
Ros Trinick will join from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, where she has worked as director of communications since June 2025. She will also stand down from her role as non-executive director of Surrey Cricket Club – a position she has held since 2024.
Trinick will lead ECB’s company-wide comms strategy, including public affairs, media relations, internal communications, social media and content.
She brings a wealth of experience, including more than six years at agency PLMR followed by an eight-year career at M&C Saatchi Group, where she started as PR and communications director for M&C Saatchi World Services.
ECB CEO Richard Gould, said: “Ros is a highly respected communications leader and is passionate about cricket.
“She has a wealth of experience and expertise across different communications disciplines and public affairs, and I’m delighted she’ll be joining the ECB as we work to grow cricket’s reach and relevance.”
Trinick added: “The ECB has an incredibly powerful story to tell – from the grassroots and recreational game, to the elite men’s and women’s teams inspiring the next generation.
“As a passionate fan, and huge believer in the power of sport to transform lives and communities, I couldn’t be more excited to join the ECB at such a pivotal moment for cricket.”
