Lindsay Landi is switching from the technology industry to the energy sector and will join home energy supplier Good Energy in the role of head of PR and brand. She will depart as head of PR and communications at Samsung UK by the end of the year, after nearly eight years with the company.

With over a decade of experience, Landi has worked in-house and agency-side for brands including Sony, EE, Virgin Media, Airbnb and Virgin Active during her career.

At Samsung, she has worked in both European and subsidiary-based roles. She joined the electronics corporation in 2018 as a senior communications manager before becoming the head of PR and comms in the UK in 2021.

Before Samsung, Landi worked agency-side, as an account director at Hope&Glory PR, for over four years and supported brands including Sony, HTC and Virgin Active.

Prior to that, she was a media manager at GolinHarris (now Golin) for three years, where she worked across a range of technology, entertainment and consumer brand accounts, including Orange (now EE), Virgin Media, Lastminute.com and TotallyMoney.com.

An advocate for young professionals within the communications industry, Landi is a committee member for Women in PR – the not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers for women in the PR and comms industry – overseeing mentoring.

Commenting on her departure, she said: “It has been a privilege leading UK comms at Samsung, bringing cutting-edge products to market that are an essential part of our everyday lives. I leave with gratitude and deep respect for my colleagues.

“However, after nearly eight years, I am ready for my next chapter. Good Energy is entering a critical era of growth as it becomes a leading provider of reliable, affordable and sustainable energy for all.

“Climate change is one of the biggest challenges we face as a society, and I look forward to joining Good Energy, which is committed to being part of the solution.”

Deborah Honig, chief customer officer at Samsung UK & Ireland, added: “Lindsay has made a significant impact in her role at Samsung, demonstrating the power of strategic communications in driving business results and strengthening our brand.

“She has been instrumental in helping Samsung navigate a rapidly evolving media landscape, guiding the business in embracing new channels, emerging technologies and shifting audience expectations – ensuring our voice remains clear, compelling and culturally relevant.

“Her personable and highly effective leadership style has fostered a high-performing team and strengthened communications capabilities across the wider organisation.

“We’d like to thank Lindsay for her dedication, expertise and the lasting contributions she leaves behind. We wish her every success in her next chapter.”
