Amy Simon, former head of PR and talent at ASOS, has been appointed head of advocacy - PR marketing and social media (UK & Ireland) at Pandora.

She has replaced Sarah Rowlands, who stepped down as head of PR at Pandora last year after 14 years with the jewellery brand.

Simon started her new role last month, working with colleagues such as Davide Zirone, external relations and partnerships lead; and Jessica Davis, PR manager.

Her appointment comes just months after Jennie Farmer joined Pandora as chief marketing officer.

“In her new role Amy will be responsible for leading the integrated communications vision for the UK & Ireland, ensuring the brand remains at the forefront of consumer culture, creativity, and digital innovation,” the company said.

Simon left ASOS at the end of last year. Prior to working at ASOS she spent a year working as PR and talent director at PR and talent agency KC Global Partnerships in Dubai.

Simon previously worked at fashion firm PrettyLittleThing, where she was global head of PR & talent, for almost a decade.

Other past roles include senior press officer at footwear company Schuh, and senior account manager at Impulse PR. Earlier in her career she was a junior press officer at footwear firm Dune, and social media coordinator at Monsoon Accessorize.

Simon made her job move public in a post on LinkedIn this month. “Nearly a month into my new role and I'm delighted to share that I have joined Pandora as head of advocacy - PR marketing and social (UK & IRE). A huge thank you to the incredible team for giving me the warmest welcome over the past three weeks,” she said.
