Leanne Tsang has left the BT Group, where she was internal communications manager, digital, networks & India, to join L&G as senior manager, employee communications, in its asset management division.
She started her new role this week and reports to Lucy Ausden, head of employee and CEO communications.
Tsang is responsible for delivering campaigns and content for the company’s employees working in asset management.
She is working with Ausden to develop and deliver an employee communications strategy for asset management. The strategy will aim to increase “awareness and understanding of our strategy” as well as supporting “adoption of change and transformation goals” and building “trust and confidence in the business’s leadership in line with the business goals”, according to the job description.
Tsang is also providing “senior advice and counsel to create and drive communications plans that support key priorities across the division”.
This includes “developing clear and consistent messaging and engaging content and events to support their delivery in line with business requirements”.
She is working with the company’s marketing team and “stakeholders across Asset Management” to curate and develop content including employee newsletters, articles and videos, as well as designing and delivering events such as hybrid and virtual employee Town Halls.
Tsang describes herself as a “corporate communications professional with over a decade of experience in internal and external comms across start-ups and FTSE 100 companies” on her LinkedIn profile.
And in a post announcing her departure from BT, earlier this month, she said: “Internal comms has shown me how storytelling shouldn't be considered a fluffy "nice to have" – it’s how we bring strategies to life, make the possible real, and can unite thousands of people behind a common goal.”
Tsang was a senior client director at comms agency JPES Partners prior to joining the BT Group in 2022. Her other past roles include account manager at financial services comms agency Teamspirit, and account manager at PR firm FWD Consulting.
